Global Transculture Competence Preparedness Training for Multicultural Business

TTI TRANSCULTURE TRAINING INTERNATIONAL CONSULTING is a global training, organization development and multicultural business consulting firm specialized in transculture competence training for domestic and foreign employees living, working and doing business internationally, and for employees working and doing business in multicultural workplaces and marketplaces.

As a full-service, all-encompassing transculture training and consulting organization, TTI offers multicultural diversity awareness, sensitivity and business conduct training for people working and doing business with culturally-different clienteles, colleagues, partners and suppliers.

Through global partnerships, TTI offers a most comprehensive and complementary portfolio of client-customized transculture training programs, including immigrant workforce integration training and consulting provided by a highly-specialized cadre of subject matter professionals.

In this era of global economy, workplace multicultural diversity, worldwide industry globalization, consolidation and transformation through global mergers, acquisitions, joint venture partnerships and alliances, foreign investments, emerging business opportunities in industrializing countries, increasing competition for offshore outsourcing, growing global workforce mobility, working and doing business domestically and internationally with culturally-different people is now the norm.

To work and do business effectively and productively with culturally-different colleagues and clients, it is imperative that organizations further develop both their domestic and international employees' transculture knowledge, skills, competence, confidence, mindset and sensitivity.

Transculture competence entails much more than solely having skills in foreign languages, and having some exposure or experience working or doing business with culturally-different people.

Working and doing business transculturally anywhere entails having a well-founded, concrete understanding of the core differences and the subtle nuances in diverse cultures' typical work styles, ways of doing business, of interacting, communicating effectively, properly interpreting and providing feedback, negotiating, influencing, making decisions, networking and socializing, entertaining, building personal relationships and rapport, establish mutual trust, respect, loyalty and confidence.

TTI Transculture Training International recipients will have the practical skills, the know-how and the confidence to:

  • aptly work and do business with culturally-different colleagues and clients worldwide
  • communicate, present and interact effectively transculturally and internationally
  • negotiate, influence and reach mutually-acceptable and realistic agreements
  • better lead, inspire, motivate, engage and manage multicultural teams/workforces
  • mitigate, conciliate and resolve interculturally-based challenges, conflicts and friction
  • build/strengthen interpersonal relationships, rapport and business connections with culturally-different colleagues, clients and partners, both domestically and internationally

The pace of international business and the new global competitive pressures are now such that organizations can no longer afford to squander significant international business travel budgets, employee/family foreign posting relocation expenses, risk making potentially costly mistakes by doing international business by trial and error, nor allow sufficient time for employees to acquire their international and multicultural knowledge, business skills, competence and experience from international assignments as in the past.

A lack of transculture knowledge and preparedness training typically result in "culture shock", perplexity, frustration and stress, when faced with unforeseen and unfamiliar foreign business circumstances stemming from differences in cultures, customs, behaviours, attitudes, priorities, values, beliefs, work styles, business practices, protocols, personal dynamics, sensitivities and expectations.

If an organization and its employees are untrained and unprepared to systematically address transculture-rooted organizational or business issues, challenges and intricacies, the purpose, goals, objectives, expectations and outcome of their foreign and/or domestic business initiatives, including all related budgets, investments, dedicated organization resources, timetable, return on investments, paybacks, reputation and image, are all put at risk.

Transculture-rooted foreign business risks include disappointing strategic partnerships; the loss of key customers and/or contracts; project delays and/or derailment; costs and budget overruns; unrealized or deferred return on investments, revenue, profitability or marketshare expectations.

Experience demonstrates that organizations relying on domestic or foreign national employees or on partners to provide transculture training and briefings internally, end-up disappointed. These personnel typically are not experienced, professional trainers with pedagogy credentials. They lack the transculture academic grounding, the proficiency to design and develop comprehensive lesson plans with complementary workshop exercises, and the deep intercultural subject matter expertise and experiences to deliver and/or to facilitate effective transculture training programs.
